We are the National Association of State Student Council Executive Directors.

Our mission is to collaborate with individuals and/or organizations in the development of programs and activities that benefit students, Student Councils and Student Council State Associations, provide resources, as well as provide a forum to discuss issues of common concern to Student Councils throughout the United States.

Our members lead the way by working with school administrators and student council advisors to discover and develop future leaders. We empower students by providing and enhancing programs and opportunities that take their leadership to the next level! And our members elevate our  own ability, professional knowledge and the resources that will transform the leadership of the students we serve!

Four Regions of Representation

NASSCED uses the four-region structure (Western, Central, Southern, Eastern) shown above for representation on its Executive Board, with two members chosen from different states within each region to serve a term of two years, for a maximum of two consecutive terms.

Previously the structure consisted eight regions. The new regions will go into effect at the 2024 Winter Meeting in December; each region will elect one new representative at that meeting. 2023 Region Reps will continue their term until 2025.
