About the VISION Conference
What began in 2016 as the Region 6 VISION (Value, Inspire, Share, Insight, Opportunity, Network) Conference – established by students for students and their adult advisors in the states of Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Kansas, Missouri, New Mexico and Oklahoma – has grown to welcome all states to this National Conference for Student Council leaders. It emphasizes peer-to-peer learning through networking, student-led roundtables, school projects Gallery Walk, national motivational speakers, leadership skill training, hands-on community service, and more.
In 2026, the VISION National Conference for Student Council Leaders became a program of NASSCED.
2027 VISION National Conference for Student Council Leaders
The 2026 VISION National Conference for Student Council Leaders is being hosted by the Georgia Association of Student Councils (GASC) at Seckinger High School in Buford, Georgia (Atlanta area), June 22-24, 2027.
Lights, Leaders, Action! brings the excitement and energy of Hollywood to VISION 2027 while putting student leaders where they belong—center stage. Inspired by Atlanta’s thriving film and entertainment industry, the theme celebrates the idea that every student leader has a story to tell, a role to play, and an opportunity to make an impact. But great leadership is about more than standing in the spotlight. It’s about helping others shine, turning ideas into reality, and having the courage to take action. At VISION 2027, the lights are up, the stage is set, and the next generation of leaders is ready for its cue!

VISION 2028 and Beyond
The National Asscoiation of State Student Council Executive Directors will coordinate with schools and state association throughout the United States to host an annual conference for students and advisors during the summer of each year. This conference is expected to be a student-led conference providing keynote speakers, workshops for leadership skills and a time to network with other student councils. A school or state association interested in hosting this extraordinary event should complete the application.
The 2028 conference will be June 22-24, 2028 at Center Grove High School in Indiana (Indianapolis area).

Applications due January 9, 2027 for the 2029 conference.
